Born Antawne Demethius Jackson, The Raid is known for his deeply philosophical and analytical rap style.  He was given the moniker RAID due to his intense focus and relentless lyrical ability.

During his earlier years, Demethius developed a passion for all music and studied the similarities within genres such as Rock, R&B and Classical.  In high school, he began playing instruments and listening to music from around the world.  As he became more socially aware, he was able to connect with topics external to his own inner-city environment.  It was also during this time that he decided to make a difference in the world by utilizing the global appeal of Hip-Hop to create music that all people could relate to.

As advances in digital technology and the internet provided a new platform for independent music makers, Demethius also wanted to seize its many new opportunities. By creating his own company, Idea Fortress Media Group, he hopes to inspire a new generation of independent artists and provide a much needed revival in Hip-Hop music.

Honing and mastering his skill for numerous years, the time has finally come for The Raid. His debut album PRIMORDIAL, is what he hopes will be the beginning of a legacy. It is also an uncompromising presentation of a work that was completely written and produced by the artist himself!
